EUROPAEM EMF Guideline 2016 for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of EMF related health problems and illnesses

We are often asked why we say that reducing exposure to sources of RF and EMFs is important, especially as industry and governments say that they are safe.

We attach here evidence for restrictive guidelines written by international experts in the field of EMF research, to add to what we already have seen in the BioInitiative report.

The following is taken from the peer-reviewed and fully published paper (attached):-

EUROPAEM EMF Guideline 2016 for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of EMF-related health problems and illnesses

Common EMF sources include Wi-Fi access points, routers and clients, cordless and mobile phones including their base stations, Bluetooth devices, ELF magnetic fields from net currents, ELF electric fields from electric lamps and wiring close to the bed and office desk. There is strong evidence that long term exposure to certain EMF exposures is a risk factor for diseases such as certain cancers, Alzheimer’s disease and male infertility. Also electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is more and more recognized by health authorities, disability administrators and case workers, politicians, as well as courts of law.

The primary method of treatment should mainly focus on the prevention or reduction of EMF exposure, that is, reducing or eliminating all sources of EMF at home and in the workplace. The reduction of EMF exposure should also be extended to public spaces such as schools, hospitals, public transport, and libraries to enable people with EHS to have access without discrimination.

Also the survival rate of children and adults with immune system disorders, and cancer depends on low ELF magnetic field exposure at home. Children with EMF exposure at home and at school have learning and behavioural problems.

Acousticom 2 High Frequency Meter

In this video Guy Hudson talks about the Acousticom 2 High Frequency Meter.

Why Buy?

This meter is a core part of equipment for anyone interested in Electrosensitivity and low electrosmog environments. It allows people to investigate the levels and sources of electrosmog in the most simple way and direct way. For what it does it is very good value for money. Not the quite cheapest meter on the market but the best for the money.

Technical Description from the Manufacturer

The Acousticom 2 is our newest microwave detector. It presents RF measurements as an audio signal, with LEDs and an alarm at high levels of RF (you can also switch the sound off if you prefer to be less obvious when taking readings). With simple controls, easy to read results, but still using the same advanced microwave detector as our Acoustimeter, this instrument is perfect for those on a budget. It is smaller and lighter than the Acoustimeter, and comes in its own carry pouch.

The Acousticom 2 was designed using the experience gained from many years of practical RF and microwave measurements. The advanced RF detector is the same as that used in the Acoustimeter. LED lights display the peak levels of microwave electromagnetic fields from 200 MHz up to over 8000 MHz (8 GHz), covering the frequencies used by most modern communication systems encountered in our everyday environment. This includes TETRA, all mobile phone systems including 4G/LTE, Smart Meters, and all WiFi and WiMax frequencies. The LEDs update rapidly, and allow you to quickly gauge the levels in an area and find any hot-spots. Its readout is sensitive to 0.01 V/m. When two LEDs are both lit next to each other, the exposure level is halfway between the two. This is only for levels above 0.1 V/m, e.g. when both 0.10 and 0.30 V/m are lit, the level is about 0.20 V/m (halfway between).

Get Wired 2015 – Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks

This video is from the Get Wired 2015 conference and features Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks & Electro-Evolution – where do we go from here?

The GetWired 2015 conference was sponsored by Beneficial Environments and was a response to concerns about the proliferation of wifi and mobile phone technologies.

The conference objective was to find and promote solutions to the problems arising both in terms of how to protect and shield vulnerable groups such as children and the aged but also how to encourage new safer products to be made available.   In contrast to many conferences focusing on the health effects, we have looked at solutions to the problem of widespread electrosensitivity and increasing electromagnetic pollution.

Get Wired 2015 – Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks

Mike is the creator of Get Wired and co-founder of Stop Smart  Meters! UK.  He is a leading EMF campaigner with interviews/ quotes featured by the BBC, ITV, the Telegraph, the Guardian and the Mail on Sunday as well as many popular, alternative media producers.

In 2013, Mike gave evidence at a Parliamentary Select Committee Hearing into Smart Meters.  He has a background in IT systems consulting and previously advised a House of Lords EU Parliamentary Select Committee on Reusable Technology.

Recent speaking engagements have included the 25th Glastonbury Symposium and AV5 conferences.  Mike also appeared in the award-winning documentary, Take Back Your Power, which exposes the realities of so-called “Smart Meters”.

Low EMF lighting

Low EMF lighting products are made in Germany, especially for the Building Biology movement. They are now available in the UK.

A low electrosmog lamp is styled and disguised as a normal lamp.

Low EMF lighting

Low EMF lighting

THE critical place for low electrosmog is where you sleep. Normal bedside lamps emit electric fields which mean that your sleeping place’s electormog can be way above building biology guidelines.

The cable is shielded, the lamp holder is metal and earthed and the bulb is also shielded. Bed side lamps are one of the commonest sources of low-frequency electric fields in peoples’ sleeping areas.

The lamp is made of beech wood, the surfaces treated with natural oil and wax (Auro 129). Wood is a natural product; each lathed work-piece differs in color and grain from the next.

This product is made of materials with minimum out-gassing so it’s suitable for people with multiple chemical sensitivity MCS or those who want to create a building biology clean air environment.

We have a range of low EMF lighting products in our shop suitable for living areas, kitchens etc.

A note on the price – these lamps are made in low volumes in Germany, especially for the Building Biology movement. The method of production and quality of materials means they are more expensive than ordinary lamps.
Manufactured in Germany. Supplied with a German plug, we will provide the necessary converter plug.

EMF survey

Beneficial Environments can conduct an EMF survey in your home or office, in areas used for sleeping, working and resting.

We check the levels of electromagnetic fields and compare them with those recommended by the Institute of Building Biology, Stetzer Electric and others.

It is a practical, tried-and-tested approach, based on well-established science and gaining from decades of experience of electromagnetic (EM) surveying.

The EMF survey of a typical home (office and commercial premises will differ) will include (where appropriate and feasible) checks for :

  • radio/microwave fields (mobiles, cordless phones, wifi, cellmasts)
  • ‘dirty’ electricity (transient variations in the voltage and frequency of the mains)
  • earth live and neutral being connected
  • extra low frequency electric and magnetic fields
  • geomagnetic anomalies
  • geopathic stress
  • induced body voltages

We can recommend ways to for you to reduce your exposure to excessive pollution, while doing everything possible to retain full use of your electrical equipment.

As part of our professional approach to electromagnetic surveying, we hold professional indemnity insurance.

We also offer a design service to help establish an electrically calm and healthy environment in new buildings.

Fill out the form here and request an EMF survey with Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive.
