Silver Threaded EMF Blocking Caps Improve Autoimmune Disease.

Research reveals that blocking exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) produces significant symptom changes in 90% of patients with autoimmune disease. No longer can it be ignored that man-made electromagnetic radiation poses innumerable risks to human health.

In a recent case series, patients wore shielding clothing and tenting consisting of silver-coated polyester threads interspersed with bamboo fibers that were partially capable of blocking penetration of microwave electrosmog. Due to anecdotal testimonies of improvement, researchers decided to distribute standardized garments that would shield the brain and brain stem in order to systematically analyze the results.

In this study, 64 patients with assorted autoimmune diagnoses such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), multiple sclerosis (MS), Sjogren’s syndrome, and celiac disease, many of whom were disabled and house-bound, were recruited. Subjects wore the silver-threaded cap for four hours at night and for four hours during the day, and patient-reported outcomes were collected. Impressively, 90% of patients indicated a “definite” or “strong” change in their symptomatology, which is at variance with the 3% of the population that is estimated to be sensitive to electrosmog.

Some researchers have attributed this so-called electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) or idiopathic environmental intolerance (IEI) to the nocebo effect. However, Dieudonné explores the possibility of a psychosomatic mechanism in the journal Bioelectromagnetics, and concludes, “Overall, symptoms appear before subjects start questioning effects of EMF on their health, which is not consistent with the hypothesis that IEI-EMF originates from nocebo responses to perceived EMF”.

In this groundbreaking study, it is also telling that the researchers found the therapeutic efficacy of the silver-coated caps to be so theoretically plausible that they decided the idea of using a control group was unethical. These authors concluded that autoimmune patients exhibit a pronounced susceptibility to electrosmog at levels normally encountered in home and occupational environments, and hypothesized that the exposure may be contributing to their disease etiology.

In this Daily Mail article top cancer expert Professor Anthony Miller says wifi is as dangerous as tobacco and asbestos

Prof Anthony Miller of Toronto University couldn’t be blunter, saying: ‘[Wifi] should not be allowed in schools.’

Professor Miller – who was Director of Canada’s National Cancer Institute’s Epidemiology Unit, and has held top posts in the World Health Organisation and the German Cancer Research Centre – is not alone in his fears.

He is the latest in a long line of top scientists to warn that the invisible waves of electromagnetic radiation that now constantly wash over us all – dubbed ‘electrosmog’ even by some academics – may cause a future cancer epidemic, and that it’s children who are most at risk.

Some concerned nations have already begun banning or restricting wifi, as well as mobile phones – another source of electrosmog – in schools.


France has banned wifi from nursery schools (the younger the child, the greater the danger), and restricted its use in teaching children up to the age of 11.

It has also banned mobile phones from all schools, partly because they are socially disruptive. But the country’s official Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety has recommended that tablets and other wifi devices should be regulated as phones are.

Cyprus has also banned wifi from kindergartens, and only permits it in the staff offices of junior schools for administration purposes. Israel also prohibits it in pre-schools and kindergartens, and allows it only to be gradually introduced in class as children get older. The Israeli city of Haifa has hardwired its school system so children can used computers that don’t need wifi to connect to the internet.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, hardwired 80 per cent of all its schools more than a decade ago, while the school authorities in Salzburg, Austria, wrote to headteachers officially advising them not to use wifi as long ago as 2005.

Ghent in Belgium has banned wifi in pre-schools and daycare centres, while individual local authorities in Spain and Italy have removed it from all their schools. Even faraway French Polynesia has prohibited it in nursery schools and limits it in primary ones. And so the list goes on.

Here in Britain, by contrast, there is only complacency and inaction – despite authoritative early warnings of trouble ahead.

Until Public Health England (formerly PHA) follow suit, the recommendation from us at Beneficial Environments is to try and reduce your everyday exposure to electosmog, by taking these sensible precautions:

  • Use a wired Internet solution during the day where possible, to connect to your devices and either disable Wifi at the router itself or use a shielded router bag
  • Use an airtube head set, or better still use one with an EMF filter (See our latest product Oktapus)
  • Disable data (3G/4G), bluetooth and wifi on your phone when it is not being used
  • Switch off your wifi router at night
  • Switch mobile phones off or to flight mode at night
  • Charge devices away from your body and your bed

Great Video to convert all those who aren’t convinced about problems with health and electromagnetic radiation.

However!! I think his way of showing that radiation strength goes down with distance (“Distance is your friend”) is impractical. He uses a selfie stick and speaker mode can only be used in private.

A much better solution are airtube headsets which keep the radiation away from your head and can be used in almost any situation like a normal earpiece headset.

Summary:
1) tick “no radiation” ECO setting
2) take all the handsets out of their charging cradles, switch them off, and do not replace them in the cradles.
3) if all of the above is not done – the transmitter will radiate
4) if a call comes in, switch a handset on and the system will reconnect the transmitter

One manufacturer, GIGASET  alone has a “no radiation” setting – here is how you make that work. (It has changed – radically and if you haven’t checked with a meter, you may be in for a surpise. It does not operate how you might expect it to.
We have been recommending Siemens Cordless phones for those customers who cannot be without Cordless phones but want low radiation when not using them. The way to cut the radiation from the system them has changed.
Siemens have sold their Cordless phone division. The phones are now called GIGASET instead of Siemans GIGASET.
The GIGASET phones’ low radiation function works radically differently for all their DECT phones**.
Detail Instructions
1 Set up
a) As per normal – connect the base to the landline, and connect the charger
b) position handsets around your house in their charging cradles and switch on with the green button
c) on any handset go into settings/Eco and select “No radiation” and make sure it is ticked.
2) Operation
When you want no radiation especially at night –
a) remove each and all of handsets from each of the cradles
b) switch each of them off with the red button. (Beware if you replace any the handsets in any cradle they switch on and activate the base transmitter again)
c) this will deactivate the base transmitter and it will not ring if a call comes in.
d) will record incoming messages for later replay.
e) If you also connect a wired handset it will ring until the call recorder cuts in.
f) If, when a call comes in, in the night if you pick up any handset and hit the green button it will switch on the handset which will switch the transmitter on.
Our comments
Once you know this it is not such a bad system. It’s a shame you can’t charge the handsets without them being on, and it’s a shame that incoming calls won’t wake up the transmitter and the handsets. This means the transmitter needs to be on whenever you want the handsets to ring on an incoming call – unless – if you can hear the ringing from the wired handset (or ringer unit)  anywhere where you need to  in the house then have the transmitter switched off during the day, too. Because all you do on hearing a ringing is to pick up any handset and switch it on. (follow instructions 1a and 1b, above). If you make sure the batteries are good (rechargeable AAA) then occasionally recharge them in the cradles when you are out  – all at the same time and then uncradle them all again.
This was tested on the current GIGASET models 430 and 430A as at July 2017 and confirmed with GIGASET customer helpdesk.

If you do decide to your child a phone, then…

Do not give them on old one with a small aerial in the top – these concentrate the radiation emissions right by the skull.

I have gone for an HTC One smartphone as the one that doses me least with microwave radiation in daily use.

They are a top end smartphone but support internet pass through – i.e. the phone will connect to the internet via a USB cable to any PC with the HTC software on.  On Amazon they are priced from £115 upwards.

I don’t know of another manufacturer that supports this. All smartphones seem to need large downloads to support software updates which on other phones means lots of radiation from their data function.

At any time when near a PC with the HTC software connecting to the internet with a USB cable – it also charges the phone.

In use:

  1. switch off all the transmitters except 3G phone-and-text – that means 4G, bluetooth, wifi, position, nfc, and data. The battery life is at least doubled.
  2. temporarily switch on data only when needed. Get your child to learn how to use the usual apps – facebook etc. on their wired PC and with a wired connection to their phone at home..
  3. never put a microwave transmitter (cordless and mobiles) to your head, always carry it in a bag, never in a pocket
  4. always use an air tube headset (single ear – stereo ones are dangerous because you cannot hear what is going on around you and tangle a lot) and keep it plugged in so that you answer the phone by headset and hold the phone a good distance from the head when using it. Speaker-phone mode is not so good – it means transmitters closer to the head, are overheard and usually affected by background noise. Using the airtube headset – radiation to your brain is roughly 10,000 times less than compared to using the phone held to your ear.
  5. you can use screening phone holders but they do nothing to reduce radiation (any attempt to shield a phone means they ramp up their power).
  6. also blobs and buttons and stickers cannot counteract the powerful radiation ever, fully – if at all.
  7. at night switch off totally and charge at least 2m from the bed.
  8. consider getting your child to wear protective clothing for school. Looks ordinary but contains silver thread which reflects microwaves.

I tried to hardwire a new Samsung phone 18 months ago and it couldn’t! HTC do and it works well.

Dr Martin Blank earned PhDs in physical chemistry (1957) from Columbia University and in colloid science (1960) from University of Cambridge. He joined Columbia University’s Dept of Physiology and Cellular Biophysics in 1959, retired as Associate Professor in 2011 and is now a Special Lecturer. His research has been on membranes, transport processes, excitation, and recently on health effects of electromagnetic radiation (EMR). His book on health effects of EMR, “Overpowered: The Dangers of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMF) and What You Can Do About It” was published in 2014.

During his tenure, he had short-term appointments at 11 universities around the world, as well as at five industrial research labs and the US Office of Naval Research. He also organized many meetings, including two World Congresses on Electricity and Magnetism in Biology and Medicine, 4 Erice (Italy) Courses on Bioelectrochemistry, and he started the Gordon Research Conferences on Bioelectrochemistry. He has been Chairman of the Organic and Biological Division of the Electrochemical Society, President of the Bioelectrochemical Society, President of the Bioelectromagnetics Society, and has been on editorial boards of Journal of the Electrochemical Society, Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics, Electromagnetic Medicine and Biology. He was editor of the 2009 special issue of Pathophysiology on EMR. He has published over 200 papers and reviews, as well as twelve edited books on electrical properties of biological systems, including the Proceedings of the First World Congress on “Electricity and Magnetism in Biology and Medicine”, “Electromagnetic Fields: Biological Interactions and Mechanisms”. He was one of the organizers of the online Bioinitiative Report, and edited the 2009 update in Pathophysiology.

A study has recently been published that provides the first evidence of a link between radio signals and nerve pain in people with amputated limbs. The senior author of the study, Dr Mario Romero-Ortega, said, “Our study provides evidence, for the first time, that subjects exposed to cellphone towers at low, regular levels can actually perceive pain”. The rats involved in the study received a nerve injury to simulate an amputation before being exposed to EMF signals equivalent to standing near a phone mast around 40 meters away for 10 minutes once a week for eight weeks. After just four weeks this short exposure time was enough to cause 88% of the rats to show a definite pain response to the signal. This study adds to the very real concerns associated with an excessive exposure to Electromagnetic Field sources, including electro-hypersensitivity, which has now been recognised as a functional disorder.

Study: Anthropogenic Radio-Frequency Electromagnetic Fields Elicit Neuropathic Pain in an Amputation Model

ABSTRACT

Anecdotal and clinical reports have suggested that radio-frequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMFs) may serve as a trigger for neuropathic pain. However, these reports have been widely disregarded, as the epidemiological effects of electromagnetic fields have not been systematically proven, and are highly controversial. Here, we demonstrate that anthropogenic RF EMFs elicit post-neurotomy pain in a tibial neuroma transposition model. Behavioral assays indicate a persistent and significant pain response to RF EMFs when compared to SHAM surgery groups. Laser thermometry revealed a transient skin temperature increase during stimulation. Furthermore, immunofluorescence revealed an increased expression of temperature sensitive cation channels (TRPV4) in the neuroma bulb, suggesting that RF EMF-induced pain may be due to cytokine-mediated channel dysregulation and hypersensitization, leading to thermal allodynia. Additional behavioral assays were performed using an infrared heating lamp in place of the RF stimulus. While thermally-induced pain responses were observed, the response frequency and progression did not recapitulate the RF EMF effects. In vitro calcium imaging experiments demonstrated that our RF EMF stimulus is sufficient to directly contribute to the depolarization of dissociated sensory neurons. Furthermore, the perfusion of inflammatory cytokine TNF-α resulted in a significantly higher percentage of active sensory neurons during RF EMF stimulation. These results substantiate patient reports of RF EMF-pain, in the case of peripheral nerve injury, while confirming the public and scientific consensus that anthropogenic RF EMFs engender no adverse sensory effects in the general population.

INTRODUCTION

Anthropogenic electromagnetic fields (EMFs) have become a ubiquitous presence in modern life. A broad spectral band of EMF frequencies (50 Hz–5 GHz) are now passing around us and through us, and are generated by sources ranging from electricity transport to mobile communication devices. While we have all undoubtedly benefited from the wide-ranging applications of commercial electronics, there is a growing social and scientific concern that persistent exposure to radio- and microwave-frequency (RF/MWF) EMFs may engender unforeseen adverse health effects in vulnerable subsets of our population.

Over the past thirty years, there have been numerous reports published on the epidemiological, animal, and cellular-level effects of RF EMF exposure [13], with the majority of these studies being conducted in vitro and focused on evaluating the potential relationship between cell phone usage and the incidence of certain types of cancer [46]. Many conclusions drawn from this field of study remain highly controversial [7,8], but sufficient evidence regarding EMF-tissue interactions has resulted in the adoption of national and international standards for health and occupational EMF exposure. More recently, there have also been anecdotal, case, and clinical reports that magnetic and electromagnetic fields of various frequencies may serve as a trigger for neuropathic and post-amputation pain [911].
