Main detection frequency range: 200 MHz to 6 GHz
The user determines their personal sensitivity level to use, to alert them to exposure exceeding this, to help them prevent adverse effects to themselves.
The most sensitive setting covers the range
<0.02 V/m (1 µW/m2, 0.0000001 mW/cm2) Green – Red 0.2 V/m (100 µW/m2)
The least sensitive setting covers the range
<0.3 V/m (250 µW/m2) Green – Red 3 V/m (25000 µW/m2, 25 mW/m2)
The RadAware runs off a standard 9V PP3 battery or a mains adapter (available separately) for permanent room monitoring. If used 24hrs/day, the battery life is 7-10 days on a standard alkaline battery, provided that it is not regularly sounding an alarm. If the alarm does regularly sound, the battery life will be shorter. There is an audible, in-built, low battery warning. We recommend that people who want continuous monitoring use rechargeable cells or a mains adapter when they are in a fixed location.
