Get Wired 2015 – Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks

This video is from the Get Wired 2015 conference and features Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks & Electro-Evolution – where do we go from here?

The GetWired 2015 conference was sponsored by Beneficial Environments and was a response to concerns about the proliferation of wifi and mobile phone technologies.

The conference objective was to find and promote solutions to the problems arising both in terms of how to protect and shield vulnerable groups such as children and the aged but also how to encourage new safer products to be made available.   In contrast to many conferences focusing on the health effects, we have looked at solutions to the problem of widespread electrosensitivity and increasing electromagnetic pollution.

Get Wired 2015 – Mike Mitcham – EMF Health Risks

Mike is the creator of Get Wired and co-founder of Stop Smart  Meters! UK.  He is a leading EMF campaigner with interviews/ quotes featured by the BBC, ITV, the Telegraph, the Guardian and the Mail on Sunday as well as many popular, alternative media producers.

In 2013, Mike gave evidence at a Parliamentary Select Committee Hearing into Smart Meters.  He has a background in IT systems consulting and previously advised a House of Lords EU Parliamentary Select Committee on Reusable Technology.

Recent speaking engagements have included the 25th Glastonbury Symposium and AV5 conferences.  Mike also appeared in the award-winning documentary, Take Back Your Power, which exposes the realities of so-called “Smart Meters”.

Reduce children’s exposure to wireless

“Reduce children’s exposure to wireless” states the The Cyprus Government’s Cyprus National Committee on Environment and Children’s Health.

Some government’s around the world are waking up and taking preventative action faster than others.

At Beneficial Environments we recommend adopting the Precautionary Principle and taking action yourself now to protect against the dangers of EMFs.

We provide solutions to reduce your everyday exposure to electromagnetic pollution.

We also perform comprehensive electromagnetic surveys at your home, work or clinic.

TEDx Talk: Wireless

Jeromy Johnson is Electro Hyper-sensitive (EHS).

He used to work in Silicon Valley in the United States and become very ill when Smart Meters were introduced where he lived. He then became sensitive to other sources of EMFs.

In February 2016 Jeromy gave this excellent presentation at at TEDx talk in Berkeley, California.

The solutions he puts forward are in line with what we recommend at Beneficial Environments.

Start protecting yourself today, have a look at the products we sell in our shop.

Environmental Effects on Health

The Building Biologists look at environmental effects on health when putting together their evaluation guidelines.

The important SBM Building Biology Standards, updated for 2015 have been translated and are available in the UK here.

At Beneficial Environments we use these standards when surveying and designing low electrosmog environments.

One area that is important in reducing the environmental effects on health is where you sleep.

The Building Biology evaluation guidelines for ‘sleeping areas’ looks at:

  • Fields, Waves and Radiation
  • Indoor Toxins, Pollutants and Indoor Climate
  • Fungi, Bacteria and Allergens

and uses a guiding principle that any risk reduction is worth aiming at.

Environmental Effects on Health

Under Fields, Waves and Radiation it gives levels of fields, body voltage, flux densities, power densities, surface potentials, discharge times, radon levels and other measurements which are categorised as No Anomaly, Slight Anomaly, Severe Anomaly and Extreme Anomaly.

No Anomaly is the category which provides the highest degree of precaution. It reflects the unexposed natural conditions or the common and nearly inevitable background level of our modern living environment. Extreme Anomaly is the category (values) which call for immediate and rigorous action. In this category international guidelines and recommendations for public and occupational exposures may be reached or even exceeded.

Wifi Health Problems

In this video Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive talks about WiFi health problems.

The World Health Organization, International Agency for Research on Cancer, has classified radio frequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B).

WiFi in the home, office and schools poses health problems.

Doctors and scientists around the world have warned against unnecessary exposure of children to RF/microwave from wireless technology and recommend using a safer wired internet connection (remembering to enable airplane mode on your laptop).

EMF Risks

The EMF risks to health are wide ranging.

A large number of studies*** list symptoms from mobile phones and masts, radio and TV masts, and power lines: which affect our auditory, cardiovascular, cognitive, dermatological, emotional, gastrointestinal, genito-urinary, musculoskeletal, neurological, opthalmologic, physiological and respiratory systems.

*** for example see “Electromagnetic Sensitivity and Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity – A Summary” by Michael Bevington.

In this video Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive discusses the risks of EMF.

WiFi Effects on Health

There are measurable WiFi effects on health because the microwave radiation of WiFi effects our biology.

The World Health Organization, International Agency for Research on Cancer, has classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B).

In this video Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive explains WiFi effects on health.

EMF Health Effects

There is a growing body of scientific research on the biological effects of EMF on multi-cellular organisms and the EMF Health Effects. It is not rocket science to understand that those biological effects can adversely affect your health. Some EMFs are beneficial to your health, others positively harmful (particularly over time).

To reduce the EMF health effects, there are a number of strategies which can be employed. Starting with changes to the way you use technology and the use of EMF protection and shielding.

WiFi Health Hazards

WiFi Health Hazards

WiFi operates at a range of frequencies but mainly in the 2.4 GHz band.
It doesn’t travel very far and is easily absorbed by water (which is what we’re mainly composed of).

WiFi is a big disruptor of biological processes and is a health hazard.

A simple way to remove the WiFi health hazards is to use wired Ethernet & disable wireless on your laptop and your WiFi router.

This list of WLAN channels is the set of legally allowed wireless local area network channels using IEEE 802.11 protocols, mostly sold under the trademark Wi-Fi.

The 802.11 workgroup currently documents use in five distinct frequency ranges: 2.4 GHz, 3.6 GHz, 4.9 GHz, 5 GHz, and 5.9 GHz bands.

National Wellness Day

Today is National Wellness Day in the UK; an initiative created by Ben Nash he recommends following 6 simple principles for one day & start to experience:

  • A Clear & Calm Mind
  • High Energy
  • True Wellness
  • A Rested & Relaxed Body
  • A Feeling of Vitality
  • Peace and Tranquility

Feel Rested & Rejuvenated
Turn off all electricity in your room, your phone and your wifi. Meditate before you sleep and drift off and dream for 8 hours and ideally bed before 10PM tonight.

If, like a third of the UK population you have a problem getting a deep sleep go to the next level and create a beneficial environment. Low electrosmog will calm your nerves.

First things to add –

  1. Turn off your DECT cordless phone base unit off
  2. Sleep earthed – use an earthed bedsheet connected to earth for natural balance for your body

It is estimated that 3% of the population have symptoms – tinnitus, hot ear, headaches, brain fog, heart arrhythmia, digestive problems which can be releived by reducing electrosmog.
