Understanding EMF, Electrosmog and Electrosensitivity

A 2015 Conference on understanding EMF, Electrosmog and Electrosensitivity

Sunday 1st November 2015 9.30am – 4pm near Haywards Heath, Sussex

Conference Agenda and Speaker details

Following the success of the Get Wired conference of 2013, we are following up with a one day conference in
Bolney, West Sussex.  This will be an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest developments in EMF, Electrosmog and Electrosensitivity science and to meet others who are concerned with this issue.

The venue for Get Wired 2015 is the Rawson Hall in Bolney, West Sussex.

For delegates that are ES: The venue has been selected for its low electrosmog levels and further tailored to create a low electrosmog environment.

The facility benefits from a very low level of EMF pollution with no Wi-Fi or DECT cordless phones present.  We will be ensuring that any cell phones and other mobile equipment will be switchedoff during the event.  The nearest cell tower is 600 meters away and cannot be detected with an Acoustimeter. There is no wifi nor cordless phones. The lighting will be modified to reduce electrosmog. All mobile phones must be switched off.

The Audio-visual equipment will all be wired (no radio microphones) and kept to a minimum – we will have a laptop, a projector and 4 wired speakers connected to 2 wired microphones. There will be 2 video cameras recording the event. We will reserve seating for delegates who wish to keep away from the electronics.

We hope to offer an ES recovery area for those who find travelling a problem.

To full address for the venue is:

EMF Surveys

One of the services our company Beneficial Environments provides is EMF Surveys.

We conduct EMF surveys in homes and offices in areas used for sleeping, working and resting. we check the levels of electromagnetic fields and compare them with those recommended by the Institute of Building Biology, Stetzer Electric and others.

It is a practical, tried-and-tested approach, based on well-established science and gaining from decades of experience of electromagnetic (EM) surveying.

The EMF survey of a typical home (office and commercial premises will differ) will include (where appropriate and feasible) checks for :

  • radio/microwave fields (mobiles, cordless phones, wifi, cellmasts)
  • ‘dirty’ electricity (transient variations in the voltage and frequency of the mains)
  • earth live and neutral being connected
  • extra low frequency electric and magnetic fields
  • geomagnetic anomalies
  • geopathic stress
  • induced body voltages

We can recommend ways to for you to reduce your exposure to excessive pollution, while doing everything possible to retain full use of your electrical equipment.

As part of our professional approach to electromagnetic surveying, we hold professional indemnity insurance.

Survey fees start at £250 (no VAT) scaled

To book an EMF survey, please contact us at beneficial environments contact page with email and phone

We also offer a design service to help establish an electrically calm and healthy environment in new buildings.

For more information, please watch this video of Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive, talk about EMF surveys.

EMF Risks

The EMF risks to health are wide ranging.

A large number of studies*** list symptoms from mobile phones and masts, radio and TV masts, and power lines: which affect our auditory, cardiovascular, cognitive, dermatological, emotional, gastrointestinal, genito-urinary, musculoskeletal, neurological, opthalmologic, physiological and respiratory systems.

*** for example see “Electromagnetic Sensitivity and Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity – A Summary” by Michael Bevington.

In this video Guy Hudson, physicist and electrosensitive discusses the risks of EMF.

EMF Absorbing Wallpaper

EMF absorbing wallpaper is extremely important in order to keep out electromagnetic smog.

It cuts like lining paper and has good flexibility over imperfect plaster.

It can also be covered with ordinary wallpaper, is also paintable and compatible with aluminium foil-based materials.

The wallpaper is easy to install, whether in new fit or redecoration.

It is made of a non-woven fabric and uniquely, is very highly absorbent – nearly all other materials reflect – this dampens down EMFs in a room.

EMF absorbing wallpaper has good shielding properties for electromagnetic fields.

It is strong and durable.

It is supplied in rolls of 10.05m by 53cms and put up like ordinary wallpaper with standard paste.

Buy the wallpaper here.

Radiation Free Headsets

Mobile phone and cordless phones radiate microwaves.  Holding these phones away from your head reduces the radiation absorbed by your brain by a significant factor.

It allows you to comply with the manufacturers’ safety guidance of never to use a mobile phone within 15mm (more than half an inch) from your skin.

You can use speaker mode – not private and picks up external noise.

Ordinary headsets supplied by the manufacturers radiate the brain because the wire acts as an aerial and the speaker puts potentially carcinogenic magnetic fields directly into your ear.

Radiation free headsets work differently:

Airtube headsets from beneficial environments

White airtube headset

The dongle not only contains the on/off button but also the speaker.

An AIRTUBE – a soft, comfortable, hollow tube with only air in it – carries the sound up to the hollow earpiece.

Technically, an airtube headset is very simple and reliable and reduces the key sources of radiation by an enormous amount.

Please do have a look at this video where Guy Hudson shows you how to use a radiation free headset.

EMF

EMF stands for electromagnetic fields, which are often referred to as EMFs. EMFs are a type of radiation, that take the form of waves.

Natural EMFs

The earth produces an EMF, and so does the human body.  Scientific research has demonstrated that every cell in your body may have its own EMF, helping to regulate important functions and keep you healthy.

A healthy human body resonates with the earth’s magnetic field at around 10 hertz, although individual parts of the body resonate up to 100Hz.

EMF

Human Body Resonance Frequencies

Natural EMFs or ELF’s (extremely low frequencies) are low in intensity.

Man made EMFs

Human technologies – WiFi, mobile phones, cordless phones, smart phones, laptops, electricity cables etc. create powerful EMFs. These EMFs have been shown to disturb the human body’s natural energetic field and effect our biology.

In this video Guy Hudson talks about EMF & Health.

EMF Health Effects

There is a growing body of scientific research on the biological effects of EMF on multi-cellular organisms and the EMF Health Effects. It is not rocket science to understand that those biological effects can adversely affect your health. Some EMFs are beneficial to your health, others positively harmful (particularly over time).

To reduce the EMF health effects, there are a number of strategies which can be employed. Starting with changes to the way you use technology and the use of EMF protection and shielding.

EMF Hypersensitivity

EMF Hypersensitivity

These days we are completely surrounded by ever increasing electromagnetic fields which have been proven to have negative health effects. These EMF’s can lead to the many and varied symptoms of electrosensitivity.

National Wellness Day

Today is National Wellness Day in the UK; an initiative created by Ben Nash he recommends following 6 simple principles for one day & start to experience:

  • A Clear & Calm Mind
  • High Energy
  • True Wellness
  • A Rested & Relaxed Body
  • A Feeling of Vitality
  • Peace and Tranquility

Feel Rested & Rejuvenated
Turn off all electricity in your room, your phone and your wifi. Meditate before you sleep and drift off and dream for 8 hours and ideally bed before 10PM tonight.

If, like a third of the UK population you have a problem getting a deep sleep go to the next level and create a beneficial environment. Low electrosmog will calm your nerves.

First things to add –

  1. Turn off your DECT cordless phone base unit off
  2. Sleep earthed – use an earthed bedsheet connected to earth for natural balance for your body

It is estimated that 3% of the population have symptoms – tinnitus, hot ear, headaches, brain fog, heart arrhythmia, digestive problems which can be releived by reducing electrosmog.
